Winter Activities
Most famous for its Winter season, Wisp Resort boasts 34 trails and 7 lifts, spanning 172 acres! Ski season usually goes from early December to late March, with a base of natural and man-made snow and a summit of 3,115 ft. Using the latest energy-efficient snowmaking systems, Wisp is able to make snow for 90% of the trails, aiding in their base level and open trails. Wisp hosts several accredited races and terrain park competitions throughout their winter season.
Skiing at Wisp Resort is a blast! As Maryland's only downhill ski resort, and the highest elevation in the state, Wisp Resort offers wonderful conditions for ski season. Wisp skiing and snowboarding offers typical East Coast conditions - groomers, a little bit of ice, and a little bit of powder. The mountain is 41% beginner trails, 28% intermediate trails, and 31% advanced trails, which makes it a great mountain to learn on! Wisp Resort also features a safe learning area with a magic carpet! The park is also a great attraction for Wisp Resort, and the parks crew rebuilds the parks with new features every few weeks. Usually once a month January-March, there's a Rail Jam competition, too! The resort is typically open for winter season 100+ days.
Wisp Lift Tickets will vary in price depending on the day of the week and the time of year. A typical lift ticket will cost $79 for an adult, and $54 for a child. There are discounted tickets available for night skiing, too. The best value is their season pass, which goes on sale in March of the previous year for less than $400. Season pass holders can get 'buddy' tickets at a discounted rate - even on blackout days! Season pass holders can also get a one-day ticket at Seven Springs Resort in nearby PA, and can ride at any other EPT Ski resorts.

Snow Tubing & Adventure Park
In the Adventure Park at Wisp Resort, you’ll find the tubing park, operating 12 lanes with two magic carpets! Snow tubing at Wisp Resort is a blast! The 12 lanes are groomed 1-2 times a day, providing speedy chutes for tubers. Colder temperatures makes the tubes go faster! On warmer days, tubes can be linked together so you can slide down the mountain with your family. Wisp Snow Tubing is open most evenings and all day during peak winter times. Reservations are strongly encouraged! Your pass allows you to tube an unlimited amount of time during the reservation window. Typically, you'll tube for two hours, but some evenings your ticket is good from 4-9 PM! Snow Tubing is perfect for the whole family and allows everyone to enjoy a winter activity without requiring any special skills or equipment. The magic carpets carry you and your tubes up the mountain and employees are at the top to make sure you're all set in your tube before you zip down the chute.
Also located in the park is the ice rink and year-round mountain coaster. The mountain coaster is open year-round, but is extra fun during the winter months. A little snow or ice on the tracks makes the coaster cars just a tad bit faster. The mountain coaster allows riders to control their own speed, with easy. hand brakes that work in unison. You can even ride the coaster double with an adult and a child! Since the cars are securely on the track and cannot come off, the coaster is a fun and speedy adventure! Wisp Resort also typically operates a temperature controlled ice skating rink! The rink is groomed and filled, so it's nice and smooth for skaters of all levels. They even have rental skates!
