December was a great ending to a strong year in real estate at Deep Creek Lake! Active Listings were the only decrease from the 5 year average for the month of December, falling from 477 to 388. Closed Sales rose from 37 to 45, and New Pending sales rose from 27 to 35! These statistics mirror the trends we've been seeing throughout 2016. The average sold price for Lake Oriented Residential homes for 2016 was 3% higher than 2015. If trends continue, which we predict they will, 2017 should be off to a great start!

Buyers, it's still a great time to purchase a vacation home! Our market appears to be more active than usual for this time of year, with New Pending Sales for January 2017 already ahead of January 2016. It pays to be prepared and knowledgable about our market and current active listings, which is where your agent comes in!
