September 2026
September proved to be a busy month for listings and sales, but recent mortgage rate increases may be having a noticeable impact on pending sales. New Listings were up 15% from September 2025, with 52 homes reported in September 2026. Active Inventory was flat, with 243 homes for sale in 2026 compared to 244 in 2025.
August was another busy month for real estate in the Deep Creek Lake & Garrett County markets. Total Homes Sold increased an impressive 41% over 2025, with Dollar Volume increasing 50% over 2025. Days on Market also decreased for the first time in several months, with homes in August 2026 averaging 66 days compared to 98 in August 2025.
