
What a start to 2017! The statistics from January show a very strong start to our market, especially compared to 2016. There were 5 sales over $500k+ in the first month of this year, compared to only 2 last year. In what is typically a 'slower' time in our market as far as sales and new pendings, we're off to a tremendous start to year and we're excited to see how the market grows in the next few months.
Sellers, now is the time to make your move! With Wisp Resort ending ski season early, our spring market will be coming sooner. List your home NOW and take advantage of making a move before your competition. While over-all inventory is lower, new listings will begin to hit the market in the spring, and now is a great time to give your home better spotlight. Price is still king in our market, and your agent can help you determine the best listing price to ultimately get an offer and the best sales price. Buyers, we say again, don't be discouraged by slightly rising prices. There are still good opportunities! While inventory is lower than the 5 year average, new listings will begin to hit the market, and it pays to be ready! Establishing a relationship with your agent can get you ahead of the game and in a better position to make a move when the perfect house comes on the market.
