While the weather hasn't exactly felt like autumn the last few days (but we aren't complaining!), the leaves have started their colorful transition and fall is officially here! One of the best things about this time of year are the fun fall-themed activities. A local favorite each year is the Cove Run Corn Maze! With adorable animals to pet and feed, fun games hay rides, and of course, the maze, it's an afternoon of outdoor fall fun. The maze is a different pattern each year, usually representing a specific message or organization. This year, the maze was designed and will help support Foster Appalachia, Inc. Foster Appalachia, Inc., is a local non-profit that helps support foster children and their families. The maze is going into its 19th year, making it a local fall staple and something we all look forward to each year. Trust us, you want to go!!
The Corn Maze is located at 596 Griffith Road, Accident, MD 21520, and is open Friday 4-9 PM, Saturday 12-9 PM, and Sunday 2-6 PM, with appointments available for other days and groups. Adults (ages 11+) are $8, Children (3-10 years old) are $4, and Children ages 2 and under are free! Remember that a portion of these proceeds will go to Foster Appalachia, Inc. You can find more information about the corn maze on their website by clicking here.
