We all strive to live an active lifestyle, soaking up every second we can in our four-season paradise. Very few people do it better than Kellyann Green. Everything from hiking to skiing to biking to swimming, she takes full advantage of everything our beautiful area has to offer.
Kellyann grew up Lutherville, MD, graduating from Maryvale Prep before heading to Frostburg State University to earn her BS and MBA. In 1991, she moved to Garrett County full time and has been loving every minute since.
Kellyann started her real estate career in 1991 – making her one of the most experienced agents in our market! As her full-time job and main focus, Kellyann specializes in Deep Creek Lake area specific properties, helping buyers and sellers make their real estate goals possible. Her experience in our specific real estate market, local area and inside knowledge, and her background in property management serve as her unique triple threat. With almost 30 years under her belt, it’s safe to say she’s an area expert.
As an avid skier and mother, Kellyann naturally wanted her children to take advantage of living minutes from Wisp Resort. After realizing that there were no local organizations or programs designed for the youth of the area to train and race, she put her head together with several other parents, and the Deep Creek Winter Sports Team was formed. Fifteen years later, the team has continued to grow and excel. The team averages 100 members each season, made up of both local and out of town members, some whose parents own vacation homes here. Kellyann has served as the president of the Deep Creek Winter Sports Team for the past 10 years and the organization is very close to her heart.
In addition to heading the DCWST, Kellyann also regularly volunteers and supports community and school events. She’s also a member of the Northern Garrett County Band Boosters, which helps raise funds for the school’s marching band.
Aside from her real estate career and dedicated volunteer time, Kellyann is a tremendous athlete. She regularly competes in triathlons, marathons, and other races, including the incredible feat of finishing Ironman Lake Placid. Her favorite event to train for each year is the Savageman Triathlon, held right here at Deep Creek Lake every September. When she’s not training, though, you can almost always count on Kellyann to never waste a pretty day at Deep Creek Lake.
Kellyann and her husband Steve also own High Mountain Sports and currently live in McHenry with their daughter Elizabeth, son Jacob and two dogs. Jacob is actively involved in Boy Scouts, Northern Garrett High School’s band, and robotics program. Elizabeth is currently in grad school after graduating from the University of Maryland College Park, where she served as drum major of the UMD marching band her junior and senior years. Whether she’s paddle boarding on a warm summer day or showing lake homes to aspiring buyers, Kellyann is the absolute best example of living the Deep Creek Lake life to the fullest.
