As a company, we love giving back. Whether it’s through donations or volunteer work, we’re always looking for opportunities to support our community, especially when it can benefit both our local community and those who vacation here. With that in mind, this year for National Volunteer Week, Railey Realty cleaned up the Deep Creek Lake Lion’s Club dog park on Bumble Bee Road!
The dog park was much needed in our community and many of our agents and staff use the park on a regular basis. The members of the Lion’s Club have been hard at work expanding the park and adding to it as funds and time allow. Recent additions include a wash station and forming of trails! The club hosts a Bark in the Park 5K race each fall that helps raise money for the park, too. The next step for the park is to expand the trails through the woods behind the park! Some of our duties to help clean up the park to get ready for summer were raking and removing leaves, leveling and mulching a new garden bed for a sculpture garden and installing a donation box. We’re always so humbled by the love and support our agents and staff have towards our community, and our morning at the dog park only proved that point more. Agents, owners, and staff members spent a few hours laboring on a gorgeous spring day while some of their dogs enjoyed the park. We encourage everyone to visit the dog park and enjoy this wonderful amenity! The dog park is located directly beside HART for Animals shelter and clinic.
