The Railey family legacy has been instilled deep within the roots of Deep Creek Lake. Before the lake was even formed, the Railey family entrepreneurial spirit had already taken hold. After the lake was created, the Railey family built stone cottages on the lake for vacationers to rent. Railey Realty was formed in 1974 to help those who loved vacationing at Deep Creek find their perfect vacation home. It only makes sense that the Railey family would also pioneer the vacation rental industry as we know it. Renting privately owned homes to vacationers through a property management company was a novel idea, a business model that has caught on all across the world. Thirty-six years ago, Railey Mountain Lake Vacations was formed to allow homeowners at Deep Creek to safely and successfully rent their homes to guests visiting the lake.
Railey Realty and Railey Mountain Lake Vacations have worked alongside one another, growing and succeeding in their respective industries. Railey Realty formed Deep Creek Lodging Company to offer a full service real estate and vacation rental experience for their clients and guests. Deep Creek Lodging lost no time making a name for themselves - growing their inventory to 140+ vacation rental properties.
We are very pleased to announce that Deep Creek Lodging Company and Railey Mountain Lake Vacations have merged to form Railey Vacations!
This new venture will combine the best of both companies. Railey Mountain Lake Vacations offers an incredible repertoire of repeat renters and unmatched experience in the vacation rental industry. Best practices will be spread across both companies on all levels - from property managers to reservationists. We’re very excited to see this new company grow and prosper!
