Railey Realty and Railey Vacations teamed up with Dutch’s at Silver Tree to host HART for Animal’s annual Guest Bartending Challenge. In a typical year, local real estate and rental company’s host this event through the spring at different locations to help raise money for HART. All events were cancelled in 2020 due to pandemic restrictions, and it was uncertain whether restaurants would be able to accommodate these events this year, even with modified restrictions. After Maryland Governor Larry Hogan lifted dining restrictions and the construction of Dutch’s at Silver Tree’s new outdoor dining space was completed, hosting the guest bartending challenge was the perfect way to celebrate!
To help raise money for this event, HART, Railey Realty, Railey Vacations, Dutch’s at Silver Tree, and other local businesses and individuals donate prizes for the silent auction. Among the auction items were a glass Simon Pearce wine decanter, a stay for a pet at the Bed & Bark, Kayaking at Silver Tree Marine, and a loaded camping wagon! The top earning auction item of the evening was the Simon Pearce wine decanter – which received bids up until the last minute. In addition, members of the Railey team served parties on the deck drinks to help earn tips for HART. In total, the evening raised more than $7,000!
