The closing price of the home alone smashed the record at $4,600,000 – the combined price including the lots puts this residential sale at a recording shattering $6,200,000. The sellers in this transaction were represented by co-owner Bill Weissgerber, and the buyers in the transaction were represented by top-producer Nina Beitzel.
The previous record high for a residential property sale in Garrett County and Deep Creek Lake was set earlier this year in March, with the sale of a Railey Realty listing in The Reserve at Holy Cross at $3,900,000. Prior to 2020, the record high was set in 2010 at $3,500,000. The Lakefront residential market has seen tremendous growth in sales and average prices in the last two years. The decade old sale was surpassed first in 2020 when a Railey Realty listing closed on Turkey Neck Rd at $3,550,000. Since then, there have been three sales over that price, all listed by Railey Realty. In fact, all nine of the residential sales $3M+ recorded in BrightMLS were listed by Railey Realty!
