Honorable Mentions
Deep Creek Lake State Park
The lakeside portion of the park offers views of the water and is relatively flat. The trails across the road, however, are much more diverse, and will provide a more challenging hike. These trails are awesome, but might be a bit tougher to conquer with snow and ice on the grounds.
Fork Run Recreation Area
Located just over the top of Marsh Mountain and Wisp Resort, Fork Run Recreation Area offers a private setting and miles of trails. There aren't a lot of great views from Fork Run, but it's still an awesome place to explore!
