Wisp Resort officially ended the 22/23 ski season Saturday March 25, 2023, marking a 119 day season. Their original goal was 120 days, but the spring weather just didn't cooperate enough to extend even just one more day.
It's no secret that it was a tough season for Wisp Resort! With a seemingly record low natural snowfall of less than 60", Wisp Resort had to work extra hard to create enough man-made snow to get the resort up and running. While they never made it to 100% open, all three sections of the resort were able to open to some capacity. In addition to the challenging weather conditions, there were several waterline issues that continued to pop up as the weather fluctuated in the early season.
This was certainly a 'make the best of a bad situation' season for Wisp Resort and we commend them for their efforts all season! Those of us that love to ski still had a great season and there were plenty of 5-star days mixed in there.
Wisp Resort will now switch to their summer outdoor activities, which includes zip-lining, ropes courses, mountain biking, the mountain coaster, and more!
